What makes our BMW M2/M2 Competition Adjustable Rear Traction Arms unique?
Our Suspension Secrets F87 BMW M2/M2 Competition Adjustable Rear Traction Arms are designed with intensive track use in mind. As a result, we are extremely rigirous when selecting the materials from which we will machine our arms from. This is done both in the interest of component quality and longevity, and for the safety of you, our customers.
As a load bearing part, our traction arms are subject to high levels of stress. Aircraft-grade aluminium is the perfect material for the bodies of our traction arms. Aircraft-grade aluminium is both strong and light, which makes it ideal for our custom-designed parts.
The compententry of our rear traction arms, such as the bearings and rose joints, are made from stainless steel. Stainless steel is corrosion resistant, giving our parts a long lifespan, which is crucial especially under the stresses of track work.
Why would I want to install BMW M2/M2 Competition Adjustable Rear Traction Arms?
Our rear traction arms perform an essential role in the fine-tuning of the rear axle kinematics of your M2. Designed to work under the compression of the rear wheels, which is primarily when the throttle is applied.
Suspension Secrets traction arms can be adjusted to control the amount of toe-in or toe-out that occurs on the rear axle. This is done with our easy to access adjuster nuts, which require only a 17mm spanner. This allows the traction arms to be fine-tuned to control the rotation of the hub under rear axle compression.
This adjustability allows you to tune them to suit your driving style.
The most pronounced improvement that our BMW M2 traction arms give is when exiting corners or trying to aggressively apply the throttle. The added grip and control our arms offer over the rear axle will allow you to exit corners faster, and help to put more power down to the tarmac.
