Description
The 5100 Series shock absorbers utilize advanced inverted/ upside-down technology, a design proven in racing that results in an exceptionally robust damper. This technology enhances suspension geometry, particularly under demanding lateral and braking loads experienced in both road and track environments.
These shock absorbers, part of the 5100 Series, elevate your car’s performance beyond that of a standard twin-tube design. The unique features of the 5100 Series suspension enable you to effortlessly adjust rebound with a single knob. The adjustable platform further allows for customization of your car’s ride height. Notably, AST suspension shock bodies are meticulously crafted to maintain maximum stroke, even when the ride height is lowered.
Monotube Design Explained?
The Monotube design is crucial for optimal performance. It incorporates a separation of oil and nitrogen facilitated by a floating piston, enabling the utilization of a larger piston. This design enhancement significantly boosts damper performance and enhances the sensitivity experienced by the driver. Monotube design shock absorbers not only generate increased grip but also provide superior control, delivering enhanced driver feedback from the vehicle.
What is a rebound adjustment?
Rebound plays a pivotal role in governing the extension rate of your shock absorber. By making adjustments to the rebound, you can directly influence and alter the characteristics of the vehicle.
